In partnership with National Geographic, this free two-hour #MakeWhatsNext Workshop at the Microsoft Store is a fun way for girls of all ages to be inspired to stay engaged with Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.

National Geographic brings a LIVE stream with Jennifer Adler. National Geographic Young Explorer Jennifer Adler has spent her life in, on, and surrounded by water. Jennifer is currently working on a conservation education project called Walking on Water to teach the next generation about freshwater. You’ll get to ask questions, hear about her incredibly inspiring work, and learn how STEM has empowered her to change the world.

You’ll have a chance to explore what it means to pursue a career in STEM. We are excited to have Tan Le joining us for an inspiring presentation about what inspires her and how STEM has shaped her career.

Tan Le is an innovator, inventor & entrepreneur, and is the Founder and CEO of EMOTIV. Born in South Vietnam, Le migrated to Australia as a refugee with her family in 1981. Le has been honored by the World Economic Forum as a Young Global Leader since 2009. Le was named a National Geographic Emerging Explorer in 2013. She currently serves on the Global Future Council on the Future of Neurotechnologies & Brain Science of the World Economic Forum.

During the second hour, you’ll get hands-on experience in an Hour of Code session and will learn about exciting careers in STEM. You’ll learn the fundamentals of coding and will get access to resources that you can use to make amazing things with computer science.

Register today for the #MakeWhatsNext Workshop in partnership with National Geographic. Please know that capacity for the Hour of Code exercise will be limited – so come early to save your space up front.
