Jacob Metcalf says
Since the release of This Is Where We Are, Seryn has undergone a lot of changes, most recently a move from Denton to Nashville. The band has over the past seven years seen a few lineup changes, several management changes, and transitioned from label to independent. Ultimately, the struggle to keep their heads above water strengthened the core focus and direction of Seryn.

Founded in Denton, Texas and based out of Nashville, Tennessee, spirited indie folk-pop ensemble Seryn crafts emotionally charged, harmony-laden Americana-kissed pop confections. Formed in 2010 they employ an instrumental arsenal that includes guitar, ukulele, accordion, bass, violin, and banjo, as well as some inventive percussion. Their albums have received nearly unanimous regional acclaim, as do the group's rousing live shows.

Jacob Metcalf is a singer songwriter from Dallas, TX who performs orignal lyrical folk tunes that feature intricate guitar work and non-linear story telling. His first solo album premiered in January. Fjord is an album debut about splintered people living in a fractured age. Listen to Fjord here :

The Kessler
The Kessler is a 70 year old theater space the New York Times called "an Art Deco gem." This event center was destroyed by a tornado in the '50s and stayed a pile of rubble at the intersection of Clinton and Davis for decades until a team of friends lovingly resurrected it in 2010. Since that time the arts and culture hub has blossomed into the unanimous choice for the finest listening room experience in all of north Texas. In fact, this award winning theater has claimed Dallas' top prize for best live music venue several years running, including most recently in 2015. The Dallas Morning News describes the Kessler's acoustics and ambience as "spectacular."
