$ 30 by July 16 / $ 40 After

Join Sound Therapist and Reiki Practitioner Kenny Kolter as he utilizes familiar instruments like drums, chimes & rattles as well as the more exotic and relaxing sounds of Tibetan bowls and gongs, creating a vibrational sound setting allowing the participants to unwind, de-stress and recharge.

This unique workshop will allow participants to experience both the dynamics of sound as part of a group – with the chance to directly experience either singing bowls on or right above their bodies.

A mini five minute Reiki experience (energetic work near the body but not in direct contact) will be offered to each participant. These sessions will offer attendees an opportunity to experience sound as medicine.

Nationally renowned Oncologist Dr. Mitchell Gaynor, author of “The Healing Power of Sound” in a 2005 New York Times interview cites studies indicating that music/sound can lower blood pressure, reduce cardiac complications among patients who have recently suffered heart attacks, reduce stress hormones during medical testing and boost natural opiates.

Kenny has facilitated over 1,000 group sound healing sessions and hundreds of individual sessions with extensive clinical experience at hospitals, mental health, and cancer care facilities providing a backdrop for folks to unwind and destress.

Due to the nature of this workshop and the work taking place - space is striclty limited to a total of twelve participants.

Please register early since spaces will fill quickly. No late admittance once session has begun.

Workshop location at DYC CARPATHIA, 10260 N Central Expy, Suite 210, Dallas 75231.

Kenny Kolter approaches sound therapy and gong meditation with a subtle rhythmic quality, teasing out the vast array of tones, harmonics and shimmering nuances that reside within the instrument. His goal is to be a sound bridge between the energy and spirit that lie within the gong and to sonically draw out or tune into the energy and spirit that resides in all of us.
