NorthPark Center and The Dallas Opera present Soprano Sara Gartland and Harpist Grace Browning in Recital on Saturday, May 13, 2017. Ms. Gartland is a nationwide acclaimed vocalist. Opera News on her Janacek’s heroine Jenufa called her, “an exciting breakthrough performance from Sara Gartland in the title role…As Janáček’s heartrending heroine, Gartland displayed a most individual timbre and a considerable reserve of lyric weight in midrange. Gartland emerged as a complete artist.” Ms. Browning is currently the principal harpist of The Dallas Opera Orchestra and The Santa Fe Opera Orchestra. Ms. Browning has been praised for her “superb technical acumen and sensitive musicality” by the South Florida Classical Review.
These two superb artists will present an afternoon, of art song, opera arias and musical theater songs that will delight the Dallas Metroplex audience.
