The Dallas Asian American Youth Orchestra Performance says
Saturday May 21, at 3PM DAAYO’s Chamber Music Group will perform two pieces: Jasmine Flower, a popular Chinese folk song and Beethoven’s Duo No.1 in C major arranged for violin and cello.

DAAYO (pronounced “Day-O”) was founded in 1998 to encourage and promote Eastern and Western classical music exchange. DAAYO’s orchestra provides a musical environment in which youths can learn both western and eastern classical music.

Currently DAAYO is comprised of over 170 members in four orchestras of varying levels, from beginner to pre-professional level. Members hail from school districts all around the DFW area and are placed into the group that best fits their abilities.

DAAYO also features a chamber group which allows students to further develop their musicianship through promoting the interactive exchange of musical ideas and shared responsibility for a great performance without the presence of a conductor. We welcome all young musicians in the DFW area to audition and join our various groups. (www.daayo.org).

Mr. James and Edward Song are their coaches.
