The event creator says
For this month's VPS DFW meeting---at the suggestion of attendees at the last meeting (I believe Angelica and Pete, actually)----our theme is "45". Pretty self-explanatory; it's how the majority of us got introduced to the world of records.

Note that the picture we're using (at least initially) is the VERY FIRST 45 issued by the creator of the format, RCA Victor, with Eddy Arnold's 'Texarkana Baby'.

So....you bring 'em, we'll play them. And we'll make sure and have a 45 insert for both turntables!

And hopefully winter will be a (not-fond!) memory by then!

************************************************
Darin and Jimmy will soundtrack your eating and drinking from 7 to 8 PM, and your selections---either matching or NOT matching our theme----are played from 8 to 10. Note that Crown and Harp has fine food available at the bar from Daddy Jack's next door.

Just to reiterate.....if you can't think of any record you've got for the theme, please don't let that keep you from coming out and participating. We'd rather see you there with an unrelated record than not be there at all!

Mark Ridlen's VINYL TAP will be downstairs, so in-between songs, feel free to take a breather and record shop!

See you then!
