Why Quixote?: Artist Round Table Discussion says
How do we define Latino theatre? What are the conversations taking place in the United States, Spain, Europe, Latin America and around the world regarding culturally specific theatre and cultural representation?

This summer, Shakespeare Dallas is producing Quixote, adapted by Octavio Solis from the novel by Miguel de Cervantes. Join us at the Latino Cultural Center on Saturday, May 20th for a free artist round table discussion about Latino theatre and diversity and inclusion in Dallas, America, and the world. We will discuss what defines culturally specific theatre and the future of cultural representation onstage and beyond. The panelists include:

Octavio Solis
Nationally-recognized playwright and adaptor of Quixote

Gustavo Tambascio,
International director based out of Madrid, Spain and director of Quixote

Frida Espinosa Müller
Artistic Ensemble Member of Cara Mía Theatre Co.

The discussion will be moderated by David Lozano, Executive Artistic Director of Cara Mía Theatre Co.

Wine and hors d'oeuvres will be provided.
