The Women's Foundation of Colorado says
Colorado is currently the 5th least affordable state for infant and preschool licensed child care and child care affordability is particularly out of reach for families headed by single mothers.

Affordability questions are complex and nuanced – high quality child care is expensive to provide, but any attempts to improve affordability by sacrificing quality would be counterproductive to the goals our state has for young children. At the same time, most families cannot pay more for child care than they already do.

How can Colorado begin to balance the high cost of child care with the need for affordability and accessibility?

Join The Women’s Foundation of Colorado Empowerment Council, University of Denver Graduate School of Social Work, Zonta, and Colorado Women's Collaborative for a short screening of the documentary film "Are We Crazy About Our Kids?" and an engaging panel discussion with community activists and childcare providers.
