We have chosen several of the most highly regarded European absinthe varieties for your pleasure, and have equipped the salon with all the appropriate accouterments. A number of savory snacks are planned as accompaniment.
Far more than a cocktail, absinthe is an aesthetic experience; this mysterious beverage, with its ritualized service and otherworldly reputation, its alchemy in action, is savored by the iconoclasts of the Steam Age. Watch as the opalescent louche trails swirl lazily at the bottom of your glass; inhale the floral bouquet, the wormwood and anise; allow the silky and smooth texture flow over your palate as the floral and herbal notes develop and fade.
Invitations are strictly limited for this fashionable soirée, due to the high expectations of our guests. Guests will kindly PM the hosts for invitations for companions; a small donation is suggested if patrons would be inclined to help cover expenses. Expect Victorian elegance, with a Steampunk edge.
As always, Neo-Victorian attire is admired, but not required.
