BEETHOVEN | The Creatures of Prometheus Overture, Op. 43
BEETHOVEN | Piano Concerto No. 1 in C major, Op. 15
BEETHOVEN | Symphony No. 3 in E-flat major, Op. 55, "Eroica"

The annual winter tribute to Ludwig van Beethoven opens with the little-played overture to the 1801 ballet, The Creatures of Prometheus. Beethoven's Classical roots are at the heart of his Piano Concerto No. 1 in C major performed by pianist Andrew Staupe, who cemented his status as one of the country's top young pianists with a critically acclaimed Carnegie Hall debut in 2012. Beethoven's famed Symphony No. 3, most commonly known as "Eroica," was groundbreaking for its musical range when it premiered in the early 19th century. Audience-favorite Rossen Milanov returns to conduct this exciting program.
