Aurora Public Schools Art Educators’ Exhibit at DAVA

Please join us for an exhibit of Aurora Art teachers’ artwork at DAVA (Downtown Aurora Visual Arts). This marks the 16th annual Aurora Art Educators show. Through this exhibit, art educators get together to celebrate their accomplishments through personal artwork. DAVA is located at 1405 Florence St., one block south of Colfax Avenue in the Aurora Cultural Arts District. The exhibit will be open to the public from February 3rd to March 4th with the opening reception from 4 pm to 7 pm on Wednesday February 3rd. The exhibit is free and open to the public from 10 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday or by appointment.

For the fourth year in a row, the educators will be creating small artwork to be auctioned - garden gnomes this year. All proceeds raised from this portion of the show will be donated to A.J. Boik’s Memorial Scholarship at Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design. A.J. had graduated from Gateway High School and was planning to attend RMCA+D to study Art Education, but his life was cut short in the Aurora Theater shooting. Please attend the exhibit and consider buying a small work to help support this important memorial scholarship.

For more information about the exhibition, e-mail gallery@davarts.org or call DAVA at 303-367-5886.
