BookBar and Garo are pleased to welcome Allison Amend reading and signing her acclaimed new novel Enchanted Islands.
Allison Amend is a graduate of the Iowa Writer’s Workshop, and is the author of the novels A Nearly Perfect Copy and Stations West, which was a finalist for the 2011 Sami Rohr Prize for Jewish Literature and the Oklahoma Book Award. She is also the author of the Independent Publisher’s Award-winning short story collectionThings That Pass for Love. She lives in New York City where she teaches creative writing.
Garo is the online arts and writing journal of the Rocky Mountain Land Library. Garo publishes work that connects people with the land and each other.
Garo will also be presenting work from one of its featured artists, ink landscape painter Tamar Miller. Co-founders Christine Parker and Chris Rurik will open by reading pieces to be specially published on Garo the night of the event.
