Three of the most common poses in vinyasa yoga are downward facing dog, upward facing dog and chaturanga dandasana. These poses are very powerful - yet their alignment is not often broken down in detail, and practicing them without knowledge and sensitivity can result in injury and damage over time. In this workshop, we will thoroughly explore downward facing dog, upward facing dog and chaturanga dandasana with discussion, demonstration and practice. You will learn to safely move your body through vinyasas and other transitions including:

- Lowering to the belly from high plank and pressing back up
- Transitioning from chaturanga to upward facing dog
- Chaturanga variations including prep stages and eka pada chaturanga
- Jumping back from uttanasana to chaturanga
- Jumping forward from downward facing dog to uttanasana
- Jumping through to seated from downward facing dog
