Info & Tickets:

Colorado's most delicious festival is growing again! This year's Colorado Chocolate Festival, at the Denver Mart May 6th - 7th, will feature more chocolate and food vendors than ever before, offering up a total of more than 80,000 samples. New vendors coming in from several states will be featured, along with several Mother's Day Gift booths and a full entertainment roster on the festival stage.

By popular demand, this year's entertainment will include more chocolate pairing demos than ever before. Chocolate and Whiskey pairings with The Chocolate Therapist and Leopold Brothers are set for 6:00pm Friday and 4:00pm Saturday. Saturday morning starts off with a 10:30 Coffee and Chocolate pairing demo, and at 1:00pm attendees get to pair chocolate with wine and cheese from Chocolate Lab, Vino Passarelli and New World Cheeses. Attendees get to sample several pairings during each demo - all with their "Taste Tickets," a Colorado Chocolate Festival staple.

Taste Tickets allow attendees to sample treats during the festival, and cost just $10 for 12 Taste Tickets. Admission is only $5, making this Festival as affordable as it is tasty. Taste Tickets also allow the vendors to get paid for the samples, a main reason the festival is so successful at drawing chocolatiers from around the country.

In addition to the pairings, Chocolate eating contests, live music and the presentation of the Chocolatier Championship Awards round out the festival's stage entertainment lineup. The annual Chocolatier Championships, with a $200 cash prize for the Grand Champion truffle, will be presented onstage Saturday at 2pm. Secondary truffle prizes are $100 each, and the awards for Best Fudge, Best Toffee, Best Chocolate Design and Best Open Class each come with a $100 prize. Competitions are open to all culinary professionals as well as the general public. The Chocolatier Championships are emceed by KDVR's Chris Parente.

Dedicated chocolate fans can even purchase "Chocolate Jury Judging Tickets." For $35, those who feel up to the task will be allowed to taste and evaluate a myriad of chocolate treats, ranging across several categories in the Chocolatier Championships.

Held the Friday and Saturday of Mother's Day weekend at the Denver Mart, the Colorado Chocolate Festival was recently named one of the nation's five best food fairs by Orbitz Travel.

Admission to the Colorado Chocolate Festival is $5. Kids under age 5 are FREE. Taste Tickets for sampling and for the pairings demos may be purchased online in advance or at the door. Taste Tickets are $10 for 12 tickets. Hours: Friday 4 - 9 pm; Saturday 10am - 6pm. The Denver Mart is located at 58th Avenue and I-25 ( exit east ). For tickets and information, visit
