As we transition from winter to spring we enter a time of more light and yang activity. Yin is a form of yoga that helps balance the yang energy within our physical, emotional and energetic bodies. Yin poses are held for 3-5 minutes, commonly seated or lying down so that the muscles and connective tissues can slowly open, releasing trapped energy and deep emotional and/or physical scar tissue. Yoga Nidra, also known as yogic sleep or sleep with awareness, is a guided meditation that brings us to a state of consciousness between wake and sleep, awakening the psychic mind and cultivating full body relaxation. In this workshop, you will be guided through 90 minutes of healing yin poses that will relax and prepare your body and mind for a 30-minute guided Yoga Nidra meditation. Join April to experience the benefits of combining these two therapeutic practices that will leave you feeling revitalized yet still grounded. All levels of practitioner are welcome!
