A joint is a location in the body where bones connect. For some people, joints are not just centers of movement in the body, they are centers of pain and inflammation! Research has shown that yoga can effectively support the treatment of various diseases and disorders that effect joints such as rheumatoid arthritis, oestoarthritis, scoliosis, fibromyalgia and others. In this workshop, you will learn simple and effective yogic movements which support joint health.

Participants of this workshop will also experience a guided Reiki meditation. Reiki is a Japanese technique of energy healing which helps stimulate the flow of "ki" or "life force energy" through body, mind and spirit. Life-force energy is understood to be healing, intelligent and balancing.

Join Carrie Varela, E-RYT 200 and Reiki Master through a healing exploration of the major joints of the body. Using a combination of yoga therapeutics, yin yoga and guided Reiki meditation, Carrie will guide you through a nurturing and holistic sequence designed to teach you safe movements beneficial for joint health and function. Suitable for any level of yogic practitioner.
