The psoas is a deep muscle in the core which links the trunk to the legs, and is critical for balanced alignment, proper joint rotation and full muscular range of motion. When chronically tight, the psoas can cause low back pain and sends signals to the body's sympathetic nervous system that we are in danger.

Join Carrie Varela, E-RYT 200 and Reiki Master through a healing exploration of the physical, mental and emotional layers of the psoas. Using a combination of yoga therapeutics, yin yoga and guided Reiki meditation, Carrie will lead you through a nurturing and holistic sequence designed to release and relax the energy patterns of the psoas. Suitable for any level of yogic practitioner.
