Anatomy of an International Cultural Transaction: Gemstone Sculptures and the Kremlin

Ms. Knowles recently negotiated the loan of Russian artifacts on behalf of the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. The transaction involved an array of components, including negotiations with the Kremlin, international private and State contracts, insurance, shipping agreements, agency issues, and more. She will be sharing her experience and expertise from this complex transaction.

Lynda Knowles has been an attorney with the Denver Museum of Nature & Science for almost ten years. During that time, she has been involved in numerous international transactions from expeditions in the Amazon to exhibitions from New Zealand. She is a graduate of the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, and Secretary for the International Council of Museums, Natural History Committee.
