The event creator says
Cities have the capability of providing something for everybody,
only because, and only when, they are created by everybody.
-Jane Jacobs

Join the Denver Public Library, Stapleton MCA and Walk2Connect to celebrate the life of writer and urban activist Jane Jacobs. Jane Jacobs would have turned 100 this year! To honor her we are joining the celebrations happening all over the world from May thru October 2016. The celebrations will include "Self-organized events and activities under a single banner that reveal the dynamic energy, innovation and creativity of cities." All events world-wide are listed on the Municipal Art Society of New York's JJ100 page.

Denver's event will start at the Sam Gary Branch of the Denver Public Library. Event will be led by Jane Jacob's grandniece Rebekah Henderson and Stapleton resident. We will meet at 10:00am at the Sam Gary Library and take a stroll through Stapleton while we discuss Jane Jacobs and the pros and cons of life in Stapleton through a Jacobian lens! Upon completion of the walk we will gather at the Founder's Green for some light refreshments*, conversation and a free raffle! If you are unable to participate in the walk please join us on the Founder's Green: anticipated arrival of the group will be 11am. Here is a link to the route https://www.plotaroute.com/route/227318
