MUSIC. ART. FASHION. FILM. TECHNOLOGY. Lordz of Po$h are a Denver based duo that started in October of 2013. What began as a musical experiment flourished into two artists joining forces to jump from genre to genre, with songs dabbling in acidic trip-hop to electronic dream pop, from 90s grunge to hip-hop trap.

Their first album, “All Starz” was released on February 22, 2014. The album has a variety of sounds and introduces us to Lordz of Po$h’s template of spitting verses and singing the chorus. The entire album was self-produced and written by Lordz of Po$h.

The follow up to “All Starz”, How God Shaped Man”, was released on Halloween of 2014. With their sophomore effort, Lordz of Po$h choose to push themselves to the limits of their creativity. This album investigates the influence of religion on man, and also the impact that it has on humans. This conceptual record showed Lordz of Po$h working with new producers, like local artists Carrot Eater Music, as well as French DJ MORSE while retaining their personal sound. Lordz of Po$h even incorporated their love of cult films into their songs, sampling films like American Psycho, Donnie Darko, IT, Party Monster, and Lords of Salem. This album is dark and expressive with focused lyrics.

Lordz of Po$h’s live performance is a thrilling theatrical art instillation to witness. They always perform live vocals and switch up their costumes and accessories several times to coordinate with the set-list. Their visual aesthetic is inspired by Internet symbolism, religious iconography, and personifying the ying-yang sign. Their stages contain smoke machines, digital projections, white pillars and white candles: intimate Goth-Rap. Jumping with props and gold microphones in hand, Lordz of Po$h are making Denver the breeding ground of #ARTMUSIC.

This performance at Cervantes promises to be their best yet. Lordz of Po$h are performing following opening for Mykki Blanco in January; they will be accompanied by two female dancers and a DJ this time around at Cervantes. Lordz of Po$h will perform a mix of songs from both of their albums: All Starz and How God Shaped Man. In 2015 Lordz of Po$h released a string of music videos on their You Tube channel. They released videos for “All Starz” and “Acid” and “How God Shaped Man”, “Rules of the Game”, “A Human Life” and “Letter From Earth.” Do not miss this night of art and music.
