The event creator says
More and more casting notices are requiring self-taped auditions. Unfortunately, most actors do such a terrible job of taping themselves that many casting directors won't watch long enough to even "see" the audition itself. And, many audition tapes are turned off during the slate!

Self-taped auditions don't have to look and sound bad. There a a few simple steps any actor can do to avoid having their poorly taped audition sink their audition before it starts.

The EFPtalks will cover a few basics on the audition itself but will mostly be hands on how to make a better audition tapes. Actors (and the person who shoots the auditions) should bring their camera and a page or two from something they've auditioned (very short scenes will be provided for those actors who don't have one).

Our guest speaker is local director and acting coach Patrick Sheridan of the Film Acting Academy of Denver of Denver. Patrick has taped many auditions for local actors, as well as actors from the L.A., N.M., and Atlanta markets when they are visiting Colorado and suddenly find themselves in need of an audition tape.

Cost is only $10.
