Nerd Nite: Neural Networks And Natural Resources

Nerd Nite Denver says
With neural network modeling (i.e. contributing to the robot uprising) and nifty new natural resources (i.e. digging for cool shit) we bring you a new year of new nerds at The Oriental Theater! See you January 18!

Doors at 6:30pm, show at 7pm.

Chirag Patil is a Chip Validation Engineer at a large semiconductor company in Fort Collins. His work is largely focused on modeling array functions by using neural networks and, with the rapid advancement of machine learning in software, he may be one of the few people between us and the robot uprising. Okay...maybe not. But he will be, at the very least, better prepared than most.

Adam DeRito works for Noble Energy, is the Co-Founder for a Green Energy Start Up known as Thousand Oaks Energy, and in his spare time enjoys jumping out of airplanes with his fellow members of the 19th Special Forces Group. (You know, like any other natural resource nerd.) On January 18, Adam answers your burning questions about the integration of conventional energy resources into a total energy solution for Colorado. What is an oil and gas well? What do they look like? What’s with all that cement? What is fracking? How are cows my best friends? How does this get to my house? Adam will take you through the lifecycle of an oil and gas well and dispel the myths and maybe shed some light on just how down and dirty we get in the energy industry!
