BookBar says
On May 6th, we will be celebrating the official opening of our patio! Come out and enjoy the sunshine with us.

We will be offering beer and Zengria samples throughout the day.

We will also feature a bookshelf of great Summer reads on the patio, as well as a "Winter Close-Out" sale on wintery books!

There are several other events going on throughout the day, including a pop-up art gallery, a reading from Colorado Book Award Finalists at 7pm and a Zen Coloring Hour from 5pm-6pm.

About the pop-up art gallery:
BookBar will be hosting artist Erin Walrath Ralston for a pop-up art gallery of her work! Ralston's pieces will be on display along the tops of our shelves throughout the evening, from 5pm until 9pm. Visit her website to see some of her amazing art!

Erin Walrath Ralston is a Denver-based encaustic artist. Erin was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, which can be seen, in her connection to nature and above all water. Her artistic love began as a child, nurtured by her artistic mother who now specializes in growing heritage roses. A neutral palate, frequent literary themes, and an underlying desire for growth and justice characterize Erin’s art.

Erin is a self-taught artist, having studied psychology through graduate school and working in the mental health crisis field. After finding the encaustic medium during a studio tour on Camano Island, she took a class with NW Encaustic and has since been seeking new and innovative ways to utilize encaustics. She has shown her artwork in group exhibitions including at Gallery by the Bay, in Stanwood, Washington. Her work is in a number of private residences throughout the U.S. and most recently the U.K.
