“I share my studio with a Ghost Horse, and you have to keep the Ghost Horse happy,” says Brett Andrus. An indication of the Colorado Springs narrative portrait artist’s very active and bizarre imagination, this statement explains the unusual title for his upcoming show at Mike Wright Gallery, “Oats For The Ghost Horse.” Not for the faint of heart,this represents our edgiest show to date.
Opening Friday, April 24th at 7pm and continuing through June 13th, will include 10 new oil paintings and dozens of original sketches. Attendees will enjoy beer and wine and a special performance from Water Bear, featuring Brett Andrus on bass. If the ghost horse is happy with the morsels of contemporary imagery in this show, so likely will be viewers.
