The River Power Vinyasa Yoga says
Zentangle® is an easy-to-learn, relaxing and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns. Creating designs, manipulating symbols and putting pen to paper is part of our human heritage. In a time of keyboards, computer mice, and cell phones, the simple strokes that are part of the Zentangle® Method automatically engage you in a comfort and familiarity of timeless, basic creativity. Unlike other methods of relaxation and focus, you not only feel good, you get a side effect of beautiful art to be appreciated and reflected upon for years to come. It is an empowering and uplifting experience to learn that you can deliberately relax and intentionally direct your attention while creating beautiful works of art. Many potential benefits include: simple and quick access to mindfulness, improved sleep, relief from stress, and increasing expression of personal creativity. No artistic training or experience required. Great for anyone over the age of 12yrs. All materials included.

About the Instructor:
Jan Steinle began her journey as an artist 40 years ago upon graduating from the Ivy School of Professional Art in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She spent the next several years working for various retailers, doing everything from fashion illustration, to designing marketing materials and store decor. After taking time off from her profession to raise her family, Jan became a Creative Memories Consultant, and later co-owned a Custom Picture Framing shop with sister Carole Brecht. More recently, Jan discovered and fell in love with the Zentangle® Method and Art Form, completing her training with the founders in April 2015 to become a Certified Zentangle Teacher (CZT). Jan has been teaching Zentangle at the Community College of Allegheny County and the North Hills Art Center in Pittsburgh, as well as conducting Home Workshops and offering Private Instruction in Pittsburgh, Denver and Phoenix.
