Rob Brandon is a drummer and percussionist originally from Boston, MA; currently residing in Denver, CO. His passion for music, specifically rhythm runs very deep.

Rob has been playing music since the age of six. He began playing piano and then switched to drum kit in the year 2000. While growing up, he took drum lessons from talented Berklee graduate Lou Lacava and is currently finishing up a very extensive five year undergraduate percussion study at the University of Colorado Denver, with his teacher Thomas VanSchoick. Vanschoick who studied for many years under world renown percussionist Michael Spiro has given Rob an extremely dense pallet of Afro-Cuban percussion skills to work with. Including extensive knowledge on congas, timbales, bongo, bata, shekere, and more.

Throughout his career, Rob has attended clinics and/or personally worked with Michael Spiro, Ruben Alvarez, Todd Reid, and Allison Miller. He also does session work in Denver, CO, recording and sitting in with various bands around town on either percussion or drum set. He has played alongside artists such as Peter Stoltzman, Megan Burtt, Pete Ellingson, Doug Krause, Owen Kortz, and more. He is also the resident percussionist in the up and coming electronic act Spectacle. Rob is graduating from UCD in the spring with a dual major in percussion performance and recording arts.
