Denver Museum of Nature & Science says
Three Colorado-based companies will celebrate the launch of a high-resolution commercial imaging satellite at a Colorado watch party hosted by the Denver Museum of Nature & Science. The watch party is open to the public and is included with a general admission ticket. DigitalGlobe , Lockheed Martin, and United Launch Alliance (ULA) invite space enthusiasts and media to learn from local experts affiliated with each company and watch a live feed of the WorldView-4 launch, which will take place at Vandenberg Air Force Base, California.

This launch underscores the instrumental role Colorado plays in the global aerospace industry. At the watch party, representatives from each company involved in the project will discuss their roles in the mission, provide narration during the launch and host a post-launch Q&A session.

The party will also inspire the next generation of engineers and space explorers through hands-on activities aimed at fostering local students’ interests in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).

This event will take place in the Space Odyssey exhibit at the Museum. Tickets are free with Museum admission.
