SCREAM SCREEN, your home for horror is back this time celebrating the Master of Horror John Carpenter leading up to his musical performance at the Gothic Theater on June 21st! Please join your host Theresa Mercado on May 28, June 4, 11 and 18 at 9:30p because what could be better than watching a Carpenter classic every Sat leading up to seeing the Master play live?!


Sat. May 28- HALLOWEEN (1978) presented on 35mm! The slasher that started it all! On Halloween night of 1963, six-year-old Michael Myers stabbed his sister to death. After sitting in a mental hospital for 15 years, Myers escapes and returns to Haddonfield to KILL! Scream Queen Jamie Lee Curtis' feature film debut.

AND analog and digital synthesizer artist kuxaan-sum will be performing a tribute to the film scores of Carpenter before the movie!


Sat. June 4- THE THING (1982) presented on 35mm! It's the first week of winter 1982. An American research base is greeted by an alien force that can assimilate into any living thing it touches. It's up to the members of the research team to stay alive and determine who is human and who has become The Thing. Starring Kurt Russell, Keith David and Wilford Brimley.

AND Andrew Novick founding member of the Warlock Pinchers, Professor of FUN at CU Denver and master of weird food creations will be presenting his PowerPoint performance art project GET YOUR GOING before THE THING so be sure to come early to secure a seat as you never know what bizarre demonstration he'll have in store!


Sat. June 11- CHRISTINE (1983) Christine is a red 1958 Plymouth Fury whose unique standard equipment includes an evil, indestructible vengeance that will destroy anyone in her way. She seduces 17-year-old Arnie Cunningham (Keith Gordon) who becomes consumed with passion for her sleek, rounded, chrome-laden body. She demands his complete and unquestioned devotion and when outsiders seek to interfere, they become the victims of Christine's horrifying wrath.


Sat. June 18- PRINCE OF DARKNESS (1987) A research team finds a mysterious cylinder in the basement of a deserted old church. If opened, it could mean the end of the world. Starring Donald Pleasence (of HALLOWEEN fame), Victor Wong and Alice Cooper.

AND Denver industrial noise duo Echo Beds will be premiering their latest music video LICKING WOUNDS before playing a live set preceding the movie!
