Sheltered Staged Reading says
Join us for a staged reading of the play Sheltered written by local playwright Catherine Wiley at Red Line Contemporary Art Gallery on November 19 at 7pm. A special $20 access ticket purchases your seat and one seat to be donated to a client of the The Gathering Place. Regular tickets are $10.

Proceeds benefit The Gathering Place, Denver's only daytime drop-in center for women, children, and transgender individuals who are experiencing poverty or homelessness.

The play takes place in a temporary homeless shelter for women in Denver and unfolds over a single day, with choral interludes by different homeless women illustrating the complexities of their lives. Characters discuss and debate the origins of their predicament, the realities of living on the receiving end of charity, and their hopes for the future. Directed by Kate Folkins.
