Strings & Wood Concerts says
Strings & Wood is proud to partner with Leon to bring you Portland, Oregon's The Cabin Project and Denver's own Jen Korte and the Loss. This is our first show of the year and it promises to be a special night. Spots are limited in the gallery so get your tix soon!

The Cabin Project is an orchestral indie pop band from the Portland whose sound stems from anthemic choruses, three-part harmonies, octave pedals, and string sections. The songs are musically expansive, yet retain an intimacy similar to that of The National, Bon Iver, Feist, and Warpaint.

Jen Korte blew into Colorado from Austin, Texas in 2005. She came guided by the momentum of Americana and Caribbean rhythms, a prowess for distinctively intricate guitar lines, and the grit and power of a Western storm in her voice. Since forming her Denver-based band, The Loss, Korte has been mesmerizing audiences at festivals and concerts across Colorado, for almost a decade.

Leon Gallery:
Nestled in the Uptown neighborhood of Denver, CO. sits Leon, an innovative contemporary art gallery that focuses on both emerging and mid-career local artists, while also featuring several select national and international artists. We present live music events featuring the best musicians in Denver's burgeoning music scene, as well as a monthly literary reading series hosted by Spring Gun Press. We want to faithfully promote the exciting and innovative art that is currently being created in the Denver community and beyond. A major goal for us is to nurture and expand the level of art collection in Denver and encourage local collectors to acknowledge, engage with, and support, the important work that our own artists are creating.

2016 promises to be one of the most exciting years yet for the independent music community in Denver! For the last seven years, Strings & Wood has had the honor of serving as a platform for that community. We have had the privilege of hosting some of the best local, national, and international touring artists. Together with you, we have been able to foster some of the finest talent either side of the Rockies. Together, we have supported the growth and flourishing of the independent music community.
