Warm Cookies of the Revolution says
Love is incredible!
And complicated.

We love our pets, our parents (sometimes), our siblings (meh), friends, spouses, television programs, sports teams, celebrities, days of the week, foods, music, that new Mad Max movie, hairstyles, and clothing.

Great thinkers and social activists and artists have told us of the importance of love. So, why is it important to explore as a community? Can we learn to love better, deeper, stronger? Should we? Is online dating and Tinder killing love or preserving it? We're supposed to love the stranger and even our oppressors, right? That sure seems difficult!

The ancient Greeks had six words for love, differentiating between romantic, universal, playful, familial, and other types of love. This Wednesday we're going to get the perspectives from a professional matchmaker, a Buddhist nun, a performance artist, a sex worker, a person who prepares the recently deceased for funeral rites, someone who works with folks with special needs, a long-time married couple, and YOU!

Come converse about Love, play a G-rated version of spin the bottle, munch on some delicious cookies, and see if Love is something we can or should work on as a community.

You're just gonna LOVE this event! (ugh...sorry)
