Come find out why people show up one Tuesday and then never miss another one. This month, Joe and the Spicy Pickles will be rocking our socks! They are a celebrated, local jazz and blues band. You can expect a mix of New Orleans jazz, gutbucket blues and early swing. They are not only musicians, they are also dancers so they know how a dancer ticks. Joe DeMers is a world-class blues, swing, and jazz dance instructor and we're pleased to announce that this week, he's teaching for us! The progressive class is called "Composition and Artistry in Partnered Blues Dance," and it is ideal for those participating in the competition on March 24th. It is also recommended for anyone wanting to have a spectacular social dance experience. The fundamentals class will be everything you need to start your night off right! Luke Lebkisher will be DJ'ing during band breaks and he has a fabulous repertoire of classy blues and jazz music. This might be a good night to shine your patent leather shoes and bust out your vintage velvets. The Mercury Cafe Denver is a colorful venue with a restaurant, full bar and spacious dance floor. For the eclectic and curious there are even tarot card readings. It's not your ordinary dance hall. All Levels Progressive Series Lesson 6:30 cost $5 Fundamental lesson at 7:30 cost $5 Dance at 8:30 PM: $10 Live Music Night People who pay to attend the progressive series classes can attend the fundamental class free.
