#313 D Love: The Love For Detroit Event

In 2012 a movement began. It was the idea that Detroiters, whether they live here or not, would share what they love about our great city. What started out as a simple Twitter campaign is now rapidly evolving toward becoming a city-wide holiday. Fast forward to 2015, simply sharing the love online no longer seems like enough. We are Detroit. We need things that are Relevant, Inspiring, and Powerful. To that end, we have rounded up some amazing individuals who are doing incredible things. And while they could be doing them anywhere in the world, they choose to make their mark here in Detroit. Some of the day’s speakers include: • Multiple Emmy Winner: Dr. Partha Nandi of the hit “Medical Lifestyle Show” Ask Dr. Nandi • Spirit of Detroit Winner: Satori Shakoor from the legendary Secret Society of Twisted Storytellers • From Pastor to Neighborhood Fixer: Dr. Chris Lambert of Life Remodeled • The event will be hosted by New York Times Best-Selling Author, Hunter and Entrepreneur, David Farbman In addition to hearing from these and other great people in our area, attendees will: • Have the opportunity to tour the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History, the largest such museum in the world. • Participate in a “tweetup” at 3:13 that is likely to send the #313DLove trending worldwide... again. • Enjoy a marvelous after party from 5 - 8:00 p.m. in the beautiful Ford Freedom Rotunda of The Wright Museum • And if you come early enough, you can join hundreds of cool cats in our first ever “March in March” (totally free) to show your support and love for Detroit.
