Detroit Historical Society says
Bite into the flavorful history of Michigan’s most iconic potato chip at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 12 at the Detroit Historical Museum! Karen Dybis, author of the new book Better Made in Michigan: The Salty Story of Detroit's Best Chip, will explore how these Detroit “chipreneurs” rose from garage-based business to snack food royalty in a presentation in the Allesee Gallery of Culture. She'll discuss how Better Made came to be, how its chips are made and how competition has shaped the snack food industry into what it is today—with Better Made remaining as the only local chip company of more than forty that once fed the Motor City’s appetite.

After her presentation, Dybis will sign copies of Better Made in Michigan in the museum store. Pick one up as a holiday gift for your favorite Better Made fan!
