A Conversation Between Author Herb Boyd and Rita Kiki Edozie, Ph.D.

The Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History (The Wright Museum) will host Herb Boyd, author of “Black Detroit: A People’s History of Self-Determination” for a conversation and book-signing on June 10. Boyd will be joined by Michigan State University professor and director of African American and African Studies Dr. Rita Kiki Edozie. The event is free and open to the public!

Boyd’s “Black Detroit” is filled with life-long observations and analysis of the evolving culture, politics, economics and spiritual life of Detroit, and the significance the city has in the African American legacy. “Black Detroit” will be available to purchase at the event.

2-3:30 p.m. - Conversation between Boyd and Dr. Edozie
3:30-4:30 p.m. - Book signing with Herb Boyd
