Caravana#43 Michigan Fundraiser Party

We will be having a gathering and fundraiser for the Caravana#43 in support of parents of the 43 students having disappeared in Ayotzinapa, Guerrero, Mexico as a result of State violence and corruption. They will be touring 43 cities in the U.S. in order to raise awareness and build momentum for their movement for justice in response to the ill effects of State Violence building solidarity strengthened by our commonalities. This fundraiser is to support the parents with monetary resources to be able to make their journey through Michigan, allow for the time and space to share their story, as well as to add to their resources to continue this work. We will be holding a Tin Can Raffle featuring pieces from various Artists and SW Detroit community members including: Visual Art by Martha Valadez Jewelry/pieces by Anishinaabe Bead Artist Giizhigad (Christy B.) And More! There will also be a 50/50 raffle, Donation collection, & Ayotzinapa 43 Solidarity Posters for sale You can also support through being present, bringing awareness through educating your friends, family & networks on this issue. We will have part of the restaurant for the event, which will be on the main floor of the Fisher Theatre on the corner of W Grand Blvd
