The event creator says
"Sleeping within every acorn is the latent potential to become an oak tree; planks from that tree could become a sailing vessel, or a simple bookshelf. Many worthy endeavors have had humble beginnings. Choosing to work with even more humbled wood, such as cardboard, toothpicks and plywood, Clinton reinvestigates the landscape and past works through signage billboards and dioramas".

Clinton Snider developed his interest for the urban American landscape after moving to Detroit in the early 1990’s to attend College for Creative Studies (BFA.1997). His work focuses on the struggle between history and memory, man and nature, decay and rebirth. He meditates on how these seeming opposites coexist in the postindustrial landscape,

Clinton has also exhibited works at the Detroit Institute of Arts, in Berlin, Chicago, Windsor, Ontario, and throughout the Metro Detroit area. His works are part of many public and private collections, including The DIA and the Kresge Foundation. He currently exhibits with the Susanne Hilberry Gallery in Ferndale.
