Covenant Community Care welcomes Dr. Alexa Canady to Detroit for Courage to Care: Expecting the Miraculous! Dr. Canady is the first African American woman to have become a neurosurgeon in the United States. She began her career in 1981 at the University of Minnesota and later held positions at the University of Pennsylvania, Wayne State University, and Florida State University. From 1986 until 2001, she served as Chief of Neurosurgery at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan. Dr. Canady will share with us the miracle of her life and experiences.
