Electric Roots Micro Music Film Festival says
Detroit, Michigan- During Detroit’s annual Movement Festival, the world’s premier electronic music destination, the Detroit Sound Project will host the first Electric Roots Micro Music Film Festival on Friday May 22nd, 2015 for one day only at the Charles Wright African American Museum. With a selection of several music oriented feature length films as well as short films from around the world, this niche festival will provide new and fresh programming for the close to hundred thousand music fans that travel to Detroit this Memorial Day weekend.

“This unique form of programming will serve as a compliment to the numerous parties and live performances that the festival provides. Attendees can also expect to learn more about the city’s musical history with live demonstrations from MusicOrigins.com founder, David Gradison. Additionally, question and answer sessions following many of the screenings will also give these fans and festival goers a forum to discuss the music and the various aspects of what is now known as the fastest growing genre today. This event will also give them a more well-rounded experience during their stay in Detroit,” explains festival producer Kristian R. Hill.

The official film line-up for the Electric Roots Micro Music Film Festival will be announced May 1, 2015. Tickets will also go on sale May 1, 2015. Individual tickets as well as day passes will be offered for reasonable prices. The Charles Wright African American Museum is located at 315 East Warren Avenue Detroit, MI 48202.
