Great Lakes Burner Symposium And Soiree

Presentations and discussions on participatory and immersive artwork, events, and communities created in the Great Lakes and inspired by the spirit of Burning Man. Followed by a soiree that culminates in an effigy burn. The Great Lakes Burner Symposium will include a series of invited speakers from our community who have created large scale art, effigies, theme camps, projects or events for a series of tantalizing 10-15 minutes talks. This event is not just for those interested in Burning Man, but anyone passionate about large scale participatory art, events, and projects! ************************************************************* TICKETS ON SALE NOW! http://burnersymposium.bpt.me ************************************************************* This event is all ages, however all minors must be accompanied by guardians. Since this is a Burner event, presentations my involve mature themes. Tickets will be capped at 300 tickets for the Symposium and Soiree. Tickets will be $20 pre-sale. Re-entry allowed with wristband. ************************************************************* Schedule Overview: ************************************************************* 4:00 pm - Doors 4:15-7:00 pm Round Table Discussions 7:00-7:40pm Food Vendors, Info Booths, and Performances 7:40pm -10:30pm Keynote Presentations 10:30pm-1:00am Soiree with Special Quests Radiohiro and Neural Patterns. 1:30am Effigy Burn ************************************************************* 4:00-7:00pm Round Table Discussions ************************************************************* Round Table Discussion involve 6 presenters, will be a little over an hour, and will include questions and answers from the audience. Come ask questions and offer your own thoughts! 4:15pm Round Table 1: “What are the Challenges and Rewards of Running a Burner Inspired Business, Charity or Performance Career outside of Burning Man events?” 5:45pm Round Table 2: “How do you organize successful large scale Projects, Performances, and Camps within Burning Man Events?” If you have experience in one of the areas above and would like to sit on one of the Round Tables, you can apply here before March 8th: http://goo.gl/forms/pjXS4fXqhe ************************************************************* 7:00-7:40pm Food, Performances, and Infobooths ************************************************************* After the Round Table Discussions, enjoy some food from local vendors and watch some performances by Sunshine Fire Entertainment and Djinn while exploring the Infobooths and mini-theme camps!
