Monday, October 19th from 6 - 9 pm

Join us at Hatch Art for a workshop where we'll make talismans and other protection art with Alice V. Schneider and Mary Fortuna. A talisman is an object, which is believed to contain certain magical or sacramental properties that would provide good luck for the possessor or possibly offer protection from evil or harm. We will have some supplies on site, but talismans and protection art are very personal and can be interpreted many ways. Perhaps you want to work on some old clothes that belonged to your mother/grandmother? Maybe you would like to learn how to make a dream catcher or perhaps you want to work on a collage or painting.

The workshop is open to adults, and children accompanied by a supervising adult. The workshop will be easy enough for beginners, but more experienced artists will be able to make more elaborate talismans and protection art from the basic materials.

Some materials will be provided. We'll bring papers of all kinds, paint, fabric scraps, wire, some beads, our favorite adhesives, and some brushes and other materials you can use. We strongly suggest you bring some ideas and materials of your own… Please reach out to Alice and/or Mary beforehand if you have any questions.

Local psychic medium Damon Baggs will be onsite at 6:30pm for advisement and will be doing 10 minute readings for $10.00 (separate from the workshop cost and cash only).

$30 per adult; Adult with child $45; adult with two children $60; Please, no children unless they are accompanied by a parent. Parent/adult must supervise their children.
