The Hurry Home Honeys are Brittany Billmeyer-Finn, Zoe Tuck, Madison Davis and Tessa Micaela. They met in Oakland, CA in 2011 and have been in creative collaboration and exchange ever since. Together they facilitate the Hurry Home Poetry Collective a bi-weekly queer writing workshop that has been together in various iterations since 2012. They are currently traveling across the country on tour for their recently or soon to be published first books!!

Brittany can tell you what era your clothes are from or wish they were from. Zoe can tell you what century you actually belong in and what tarot card you need to carry you through that century. Madison can tell you what historical disaster best suits your beer choice for the evening. Tessa can tell you what herbal formula matches your attitude.

Tessa Micaela was born in Philadelphia and now lives in Oakland. Tessa is the author of there are boxes and there is wanting (Trembling Pillow Press, 2016) and the chapbook Crude Matter (ypolita press, 2016). Other writing has appeared in Make/shift, Dusie, Open House, and various other jars and corners. Tessa is a co-editor of Hold: a journal and is an aspiring mid-wife.

Brittany Billmeyer-Finn is a poet and playwright living in Oakland, CA. She is the author of the full length title, the meshes from Black Radish Books. During her 2015 residency at SAFEhouse Arts in SF she directed her first play, the meshes an iteration in 2 acts. Her work has been published locally in Where Eagles Dare, Elderly, in the anthology; It is Night in San Francisco but It’s Sunny in Oakland, 580 Split, Hold: A Journal & her chapbook geraniums is published by Mondo Bummer. She has a forthcoming chapbook, Slabs coming out with the Tract Series from Timeless Infinite Light. More of her work can be found online at The Poetic Labor Project & Dusie #15.

After the publication of her tract Terror Matrix (2014) by Timeless, Infinite Light, Zoe Tuck joined the press's editorial staff. She is a co-editor editor of Hold: a journal (holdajournal.com). She is by turns a tarot reader, teacher, curator, and poetry agent. She is leaving her adopted home in the Bay Area to pursue a PhD in English Literature at UMass Amherst.

Madison Davis writes about family, water, mourning and disaster. Her recent work can be found in Elderly, Hold: A Journal, The Portable Boog Reader, It’s Night in San Francisco but It’s Sunny in Oakland and Open House. Her first book Disaster is forthcoming from Timeless, Infinite Light this winter. She lives, writes and works retail in Oakland.
