As part of Make Music Detroit's first annual celebration of music, Spread Art hosts the Detroit Bureau of Sound, presenting an evening of expansive sonic minimalism on June 21st. Close your eyes and open your ears with the energetic sounds of minimalist king, Steve Reich, with three of his most famous phasing works: “Pendulum Music”, “Clapping Music”, and the monolithic “Four Organs”. Also featuring “Glossolalia”, an exploration into the sound of six drums, and “Red/Yellow”, an audiovisual piece for colors, overhead projector, and improvisation, by Knee Play.
