Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History says
All are welcome to the opening reception for The Wright Museum's newest contemporary artists exhibition, "Empirical / Satirical: The Art of Cedric Henry and Byron Reed." Light refreshments will be served, and the event is free and open to the public.

"Empirical / Satirical" features the work of cartoonist, Cedric Henry, and painter, Byron Reed who both use satire to explore the politics and day-to-day life of their communities. Repeat visits will help the viewer realize the many meanings layered within these multi-faceted works.

Organized by the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History in 1999, the Contemporary Artists Program (CAP), features new and exciting art created by emerging and established artists. The purpose of CAP is to provide artists a venue where new audiences can see their work and an opportunity to gain professional and public recognition.

This event is free and open to the public. For more information call (313) 494-5800.
