Food. Dialogue. Movement. Exchange.

A public performative gathering exploring themes of accessibility, civic and community engagement within an inter-sectional group of local folk; led by award-winning interdisciplinary artist and cultural producer Barak adé Soleil.

An evolving workshop presentation, the politics of space asks questions surrounding: who is at the table when we make decisions impacting our communities; in what ways do we invite/disinvite folk into our spaces, and how can we occupy space even when the space is not for us?

Please bring a dish to share and/or thoughts to contribute to the gathering.

As a queer, disabled artist of color, Barak is committed to exposing the nuances of the inter-sectional body as an inherent reflection of humanity; while questioning the historical contexts in which live art is created and interpreted.
