The James Pearson Duffy Department of Art & Art History is pleased to present its annual Tri-County High School Exhibition, March 27 through April 10, 2015. The opening reception will be held on Friday, March 27, 5-8PM, with an awards presentation at 6:30PM.

This exhibition will feature approximately 80 artworks created by high school students from Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties. At the opening reception, seven awards will be given to students for their outstanding artworks. The awards will include First Place, Second Place, Third Place, Teacher Award, and three Honorable Mentions. Award-winning artworks will be chosen by Margi Weir, Assistant Professor of Painting and Drawing at Wayne State University.

Artworks featured in the exhibition were created by students from the following schools: Adlai E. Stevenson High School, Bloomfield Hills High School, Cabrini High School, Cass Technical High School, Detroit Country Day School, Detroit School of Arts, Ferndale High School, Grosse Pointe South High School, Lake Orion High School, Lakeview High School, L’Anse Creuse High School, Livonia Stevenson High School, Rochester High School, South Lyon East High School, Stoney Creek High School, Waterford Kettering High School, Waterford Mott High School, and West Bloomfield High School.

This event is free and open to the general public. The Art Department Gallery is located in the Art Building on the campus of Wayne State University, near the intersection of Cass Avenue and Kirby Street.
