It’s winter, which calls for live music and crackling fireplaces in the countryside!

The popular fortnightly Music in The Hills (MiTH) is returning after a short break to The Knoll Historic Guest Farm on Wednesday, 29 July.

Here's who's performing…

1.    Thobeka Mthethwa

From 7pm, the evening opens with the sounds of rising local artist Thobeka Mthethwa, whose music blends elements of R&B, pop and country.

Armed with an acoustic guitar and a soulful voice, Thobeka performs both original songs and carefully selected covers inspired by artists such as Megan Moroney, Yebba and Amanda Black.

Although she's only been performing for just over a year, she's already appeared at Splashy Fen Festival, Redlands Hotel and other popular local venues.

2.    Lotshiwe Tshabalala

From 7:40pm, Pietermaritzburg-based singer-songwriter Lotshiwe Tshabalala brings her soulful blend of reggae, soul and heartfelt storytelling to the MiTH stage.

Having performed at festivals, markets and events across KZN, Lotshiwe has built a reputation for captivating audiences with her warm vocals and authentic songwriting.

She'll be joined by a talented live band featuring Heaven Khwezi Cele on drums, Nompumelelo Zikode on bass and Rainbow Cele on keyboards.

3.    The Lion, the Bear & the Panther

Closing out the evening from 8:40pm is The Lion, the Bear & The Panther, a powerhouse three-piece rock band and long-time MiTH favourite.

Featuring Ross (vocals and guitar), Brendon Meintjies (drums) and Ruben Thomas (bass), the trio is known for explosive live performances, soaring harmonies, gritty guitar riffs and an unmistakable stage presence.

Expect a set packed with crowd-pleasing rock covers alongside impressive original songs.
