Furniture, architecture, coffee and coastal living come together at Weylandts’ new Sibaya store, opening this weekend.

Furniture shopping for your new pad?
You’re in luck. Weylandts is opening the doors to its new Sibaya showroom at Reefside Lifestyle & Leisure on Saturday, 3 October 2026.
You can expect quality furniture, interiors, architecture, food and hospitality under one rather impressive roof.
But this is not your standard browse-and-go furniture store.
Designed by StudioLandt, the new space has been conceived as an experience in its own right, with multiple levels, changing perspectives and a carefully considered sequence of interiors and materials.

The idea behind the new store is simple: shopping for your home should be about inspiration as much as it is about finding the right sofa.
The architecture has been designed to encourage visitors to explore rather than simply move from one display to the next. Different interiors, materials and viewpoints unfold throughout the space, creating something closer to a design destination than a traditional showroom.
“We want our spaces to feel like a world,” says Weylandts CEO Chris Weylandt. “Good living was never only about furniture. It’s about how people gather and connect. We want people to linger, not simply pass through.”
The design takes its cues from the KwaZulu-Natal coastline, with granite, basalt, concrete, sand, sea and sugarcane influencing the building's material palette.
Earthy, darker tones ground the interiors, while water appears throughout the space as a recurring design element. At the entrance, it creates a moment of calm before visitors head into the showroom.

There’s another reason you might find yourself spending longer here than expected: food.
Durban-based, family-run Shoots and Leaves will bring its farm-to-table philosophy into the store, adding a distinctly local hospitality element to the experience.
The restaurant is known for fresh, wholesome food and relaxed dining, so you can make an outing of it – browse the furniture, stop for coffee, meet a friend for lunch or simply soak up the surroundings.
There’s also a dedicated boardroom, designed as a meeting space for local businesses, creatives and interior designers.

The location is no accident either.
Reefside Lifestyle & Leisure forms part of the wider Sibaya Coastal City precinct, sitting along the rapidly developing coastal corridor between uMhlanga and the KZN North Coast.
“Sibaya represents thoughtful growth,” says Weylandt. “Its connection to nature, its strong architectural identity and its vision for integrated coastal living resonate deeply with our philosophy. It is an environment that gave us the freedom to create something distinctly Weylandts.”
The Sibaya store brings the brand's KwaZulu-Natal presence together in one destination, following the consolidation of its Ballito and uMhlanga stores.

The new store opens on Saturday, 3 October, with festivities planned throughout the opening weekend.
Visitors can shop a limited selection of pieces available exclusively at Weylandts Sibaya at special launch pricing.
With its combination of design, architecture, food and coastal surroundings, Weylandts Sibaya looks set to make furniture shopping feel considerably more like a day out.
