Best South of France hotels

1. Domaine Amourella in Lambesc, C么te d鈥橝zur

When it comes to the French Riviera, picturesque hotels are easy to come by – just like the Domaine Amourella in Lambesc. Located just minutes from the shore and walking distance from the local town, this hotel perfectly encapsulates what it means to be in the South of France. The tranquil villa vibes of this condo hotel further lends itself to the Côte d’Azur aesthetic, while offering indoor and outdoor pools and rooms with flat-screen TVs, private bathrooms and a kitchenette in some. Enjoy a buffet breakfast each morning before hiking the nearby trails. Trust us, it’s worth every cent.

The mood? A tranquil escape.
Location perks? The icing on top this magnificently furnished cake is by far its natural surroundings. Made for basking in the sunshine, you'll be among the olive groves and vineyards, and you can even relax in the natural outdoor pool. Bliss.
Budget range? We love affordable luxury.

2. Althoff Hotel Villa Belrose in Saint-Tropez

While Saint-Tropez is widely renowned for its opulent lifestyle and visitors, it’s for good reason. From rolling hills on the ocean’s horizon to some of the best shopping opportunities the South of France has to offer, you’ll be easily entertained here. And the Althoff Hotel Villa Belrose is no exception. Located on the hills of the French Riviera – a five-minute drive from the heart of Saint-Tropez – this stunning hotel offers ocean views from the pool terrace, gourmet cuisine in the on-site restaurant and rooms come with private terraces, marble bathrooms, cable TVs and free Wi-Fi throughout. Not that you’ll be indoors for a second.

The mood? Gloriously chic.
Location perks? Unimaginable views of Saint Tropez Bay.
Budget range? It's a hefty one, but if you don't mind splashing out, this one is one of a kind.

3. H么tel Les Roches Blanches in Cassis

While Cassis is the lesser-known cousin of Marseille, it’s arguably just as beautiful and certainly more peaceful compared to the city. It’s locally known as a fishing village, where street markets are held every Tuesday and Friday but the real winner is a visit to the Calanques de Port-Miou – where rocky shores and harbour boats meet. As for the hotel, Les Roches Blanches pretty much sells itself with the views it has to offer – but we’d love to tell you a little more about it. Aside from the phenomenal vistas, this world-class hotel comes with a terraced restaurant, spa, and an infinity pool overlooking the shores. Blissful indeed.

The mood? Dramatic cliff edge views.
Location perks? There's no question that this stunning old-timey mansion was practically made
for a romantic getaway. Not to mention, the property gives you direct access to the sea – the perfect proposal spot.
Budget range? This one comes with a luxury price tag.

Better yet, all this style combines with a lot of thoughtful substance so each room feels eminently useable -  you really well feel at home in this space.
