A Fistful of Soul (AFOS) is Houston's premiere '60s soul dance party, hosted by a trio of all-vinyl deejays—Stewart Anderson, Joe Ross, and Alex LaRotta! Over the course of these past five years, we've built a core audience of devoted dancers and soul music lovers from all over the city—a demand so big we now have two deejay setups! While we enjoy spinning soul sounds from Latin boogaloo to Motown hits, we maintain a focus on Texas-based R&B and soul—from legendary producer Skipper Lee Frazier and his storied Ovide imprint to Abe Epstein's vast empire of San Antonio soul, and much more.
